Itinerary

Arrival at Shiraz airport. After completing immigration formalities and picking your luggage, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Start the day early with a visit to Nasir Al-Molk Mosque, also known as the Pink Mosque, to see the beautiful stained-glass windows and colorful tiles. Next, head to Narenjestan-e Ghavaam, a historic house and museum with a beautiful garden and marble altar. From there, visit Vakil Bazaar, the main bazaar of Shiraz, to shop for Persian rugs, spices, and handicrafts. After exploring the bazaar, visit Vakil Mosque next door to see its stunning architecture. For lunch, try some local cuisine at one of the restaurants in the bazaar. In the afternoon, visit Pars Museum to learn more about the history and culture of Shiraz. Next, head to Karim Khan Fortress to see the impressive citadel and its surrounding gardens. After that, visit Eram Botanic Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most beautiful gardens in Iran. The garden has a variety of fruit trees, cypress trees, and flowers, and is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Finally, end the day with a visit to the Mausoleum of Hafez to pay your respects to one of Iran's greatest poets.

Persepolis is the reason why many tourists come to Iran, so, let’s wait no more and go to Persepolis, the ancient capital of the Achaemenid Empire, located about 50 kilometers from Shiraz. After exploring the ruins, visit the Persepolis Museum to learn more about the history and culture of the site. Next, head to Naqsh-e Rostam, an ancient necropolis located nearby, to see the tombs of several Achaemenid kings. From there, drive to Pasargadae, the first capital of the Achaemenid Empire, to see the tomb of Cyrus the Great and other historic sites.

Start the day early and drive to Sarvestan (Sasan) Palace, a historic palace located about 100 kilometers from Shiraz. The palace dates to the Sassanid era and has beautiful architecture and decorations. Next, visit the Mosque of Neyriz, a historic mosque located in the town of Neyriz, about 50 kilometers from Sarvestan. The mosque has beautiful tiles and a large courtyard for prayer. After exploring the mosque, drive to Kerman, a historic city located about 600 kilometers from Shiraz.

Start the day early and drive to Shazdeh Mahan Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a beautiful Persian garden with a historic bathhouse and a pavilion. Next, visit Arg-e Rayen, a historic citadel located in the town of Rayen, about 100 kilometers from Shazdeh Mahan Garden. The citadel dates back to the Sassanid era and has beautiful architecture and decorations. After exploring the citadel, drive to Shahdad Desert (Kalouts), a unique desert landscape with beautiful rock formations and sand dunes.

Start the day early and visit Ganjali Khan Hammam, a historic bathhouse located in the center of Kerman. Next, visit Caravanserai of Ganjali Khan, a historic caravanserai located next to the bathhouse. After that, explore the Grand Bazaar of Kerman, a historic market with traditional handicrafts and souvenirs. From there, visit Congregational Mosque of Kerman, a historic mosque with beautiful tiles and a large courtyard for prayer. Have lunch at a local restaurant and try some traditional Persian cuisine. In the afternoon, drive to Yazd and visit Yazd Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a beautiful historic district with narrow alleys and traditional houses. Visit Congregational Mosque of Yazd, a historic mosque with beautiful tiles and a large courtyard for prayer. After that, walk about 30 minutes through the alleys of the old town to perceive why the old town of Yazd is a world heritage, and get to Amir Chakhmagh Plaza, a historic square with beautiful architecture and a popular tourist attraction.

Today you first visit the Towers of Silence, a historic Zoroastrian site located about 15 kilometers from Yazd. The site was used for excarnation, a traditional Zoroastrian practice of exposing the dead to the elements. Next, visit Zoroastrian Fire Temple, a sacred temple where a flame has been burning continuously for over 1,500 years. After that, drive to Narin Castle of Meybod, a historic mud-brick fortress located about 50 kilometers from Yazd. The castle dates to the Sassanid era and has beautiful architecture and decorations. From there, visit Caravanserai of Meybod, a historic inn that has been converted into a museum. The caravanserai has a beautiful courtyard and several exhibits on the history and culture of the Silk Road. Finally, visit Yakhchal (Ice Storage) of Meybod, a historic structure used for storing ice in the desert. The structure has unique architecture and is a popular tourist attraction.

In the afternoon, you will have free time on your own to explore more. You may want to spend more time in Naqsh-e Jahan Plaza enjoying the unique lively atmosphere, or in the historic bazar around the plaza for shopping. Charbagh Boulevard is worth walking for a second time and Si-o Se Pol and Khaju bridges are incredible in the evening.

Start the day early and drive to Kashan to visit Fin Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a beautiful Persian garden with a historic bathhouse and a pavilion. Next, visit Tabatabaee House, a historic house of a rich merchant and museum with beautiful architecture and decorations. After that, visit Soltan Amir Ahmad Hammam, a historic bathhouse with beautiful tiles and decorations. From there, visit Aqa Bozorg Mosque, a historic mosque with beautiful tiles and a large courtyard for prayer. Have lunch at a local restaurant and try some traditional Persian cuisine. In the afternoon, visit Grand Bazaar of Kashan, a historic market with traditional handicrafts and souvenirs. Finally, head toward Tehran and visit Imam Khomeini Mausoleum, a beautiful shrine and a popular tourist attraction, on the road.

Today you start with a visit to the Melli (National) Museum (Pre-Islamic Period), which displays artifacts and objects from Iran's pre-Islamic history and culture. Of course! it is possible to arrive in Tehran, and fly to Shiraz after visiting the capital of Iran, and nothing changes for the rest of the tour. One point to consider is that on day 11, you will leave Isfahan, visit Kashan and go directly to IKA airport to fly back home.
